The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international football tournament organized by FIFA every four years, featuring 8 national teams: the champions of CAF (Africa), CONMEBOL (South America), UEFA (Europe), AFC (Asia), OFC (Oceania), and CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), as well as the host nation and the World Cup champions. If the World Cup champions were also the continental champions, the runners-up from the continental championship participated instead. The most successful team in the tournament's history is Brazil, with 4 titles. The last Confederations Cup was held in 2017, and FIFA has decided not to continue the tournament.
