On Wednesday, EURO 2020 Group F matches ended. In the final game, European champions Portugal played a 2-2 draw with world champions France. The first goal of the match came in the 31st minute, when Cristiano Ronaldo converted a penalty kick. A controversial penalty kick was awarded to Portugal during added time of the first half, which was converted by Karim Benzema. The same K. Benzema put the French ahead in the 47th minute. However, Portugal managed to equalize when C. Ronaldo scored another penalty kick in the 60th minute. This draw secured the first place in the group for France, while Portugal finished third but still advanced to the quarterfinals.
