Over the weekend, the matches of the 19th round of the French "Ligue 1" championship were played, after which the situation at the top of the league table did not change.
In the league, the footballers of "Lyon" continue to lead, on Friday in the central round match they fought to a 1-1 draw with "Marseille" and added another point to their account. Now the French champions have a total of 39 points.
For the leaders, not for the first time this season, the "Lille" club, which occupies the second place, failed to make use of their stumble, as they could not overcome the outsider "Ajaccio" away - the match ended 0-0. After these draws, "Lille" now has 36 points in their account.
A true goal fiesta took place on Saturday at the Abbé-Deschamps stadium in "Auxerre", where the local team met Edgaras Jankauskas' "Nice". The match ended with a 4-3 victory for "Auxerre", and all seven goals were scored within 17 minutes of the second half - from the 45th to the 62nd minute. The Lithuanian national team striker was not registered for the match.
The capital's "P.S.G" club also secured a convincing victory by defeating "Metz" 3-0 at home and finally recovering. In this round, their opponents were also beaten by the "Lens" and "Strasbourg" teams, while last season's European discovery "Monaco" played a 1-1 draw with "Bordeaux".
Tomorrow (Sunday), "Nantes" and "Sochaux" will test their strengths in the last matches of the round.
