20 players who were overpaid the most this summer

Last summer was marked by loud deals in the player market. "Man Utd" set a new transfer record by buying Juventus defender Paul Pogba for 110 million euros. After receiving a solid injection of funds, the Italians did not spare money and immediately acquired Napoli's attacking leader Gonzalo Higuain. Soon rumors spread that the clubs that had spent insane amounts had overpaid. But is it true? The football research page "CIES Footballer Observatory" confirms it. The list of the top twenty published by the Observatory placed the Argentine, who cost 90 million, at the top, with a value that, according to specialists, reached a maximum of 66.2 million euros. In second place was defender Eric Bailly, for whom "Man Utd" paid Spanish club Villarreal a whopping 38.4 million euros - nearly 23 million euros more than what the team had originally planned to spend.
