2023 Lithuanian Football Awards: Best Lithuanian Futsal Player

On Tuesday, the first stage of the 2023 TOPsport Lithuanian football awards selection began.

At the moment, there are extended lists in each nomination, from which three contenders will advance to the second stage of the selection process. LFF.lt plans to introduce each nomination and its nominees to the readers.

It is worth noting that the first stage of the selection process for all nominations runs until January 16th, 23:59, to submit your votes once a day in each nomination click here.

This time we present to you one of the latest nominations - the best Lithuanian futsal player. Justinas Zagurskas, the captain of the national team, has won this title twice before, while Edgaras Baranauskas triumphed here last year.

Both of these players are participating in the selection process again this year, and in the first stage of the selection, they face competition from ten other nominees.

As usual, most of the candidates in the selection process are represented by the "Kauno Žalgiris" club, which won the Lithuanian championship last year, as well as the cup and the futsal supercup - on the list of nominees from this club you can find the names of Tom Bučmas, Ernest Macenis, David Reimaris, Lukas Sendžikas, Albert Voskunovičius, and the aforementioned J. Zagurskas.

At the beginning of 2023, Lukas Sipavičius also represented "Kauno Žalgiris", although this season he is playing for the "Hegelmann" team.

The runners-up - Jonavos "Vikingai" also have their representatives in the selection process. The nominees from Jonava are Paulius Osauskas and Gytis Vasylius, as well as Vladimiras Derendiajevas, who played for this team at the beginning of 2023 and now represents the VIP club.

The Mažeikiai team is also represented in the selection process by goalkeeper Karolis Čirba, who has played for the Lithuanian national team this year.
