Over the weekend, the third-place Madrid "Real" - Royal club did not take advantage of the difficulties of other leaders in the Spanish championship, as they did not manage to beat Sevilla's "Betis" who are successfully rising from the bottom of the tournament table at home.
The dull match ended in a goalless draw, although in the second half, players from both teams shook the opponents' goal constructions, and in the last minute David Beckham was sent off the field. The former captain of the England national team, for whom it was his 150th match in "Real" jersey, received an immediate red card for a rough foul against Isidoro.
After the match, "Real" was escorted off the field amidst boos from the fans - their discontent was clearly caused by the fact that in their last four home matches, "Real" scored only one goal.
In other matches, "Zaragoza" narrowly defeated the struggling "Villarreal". The only goal of the match was scored in the first half by one of the league's top scorers, the Argentine Diego Milito, who was the first to react to the rebounded ball after Alberto Zapater's shot.
