The legend of "Juventus" Alessandro Del Piero remembered his debut among the ranks of the Old Lady.
It happened exactly 25 years ago, on September 12, 1993, when the former "Padova" player got a chance to show himself on the field.
"Juventus" played against "Foggia" and 15 minutes before the end of the match, coach Giovanni Trapattoni turned to the promising talent.
"Kid, go ahead. Listen to my advice: try to keep the ball and create opportunities," Del Piero recalled the coach's instructions.
"It was a memorable moment, and a week later, something even more stuck with me - I ran onto the field against "Reggiana" and scored a goal."
The legendary sniper also remembered one of the greatest victories of his career in 1996 when he won the Champions League gold medals.
"That period was wonderful, not only because of the magical night in Rome. It was a truly triumphant season and it was different from the World Cup, where we had to focus for one month and lived in a bubble.
Meanwhile, the Champions League - a long journey, and that year we overcame all obstacles.
From a personal point of view, I received recognition, and finally, the Juventus fans were rewarded - the Turin club became the strongest in Europe," Del Piero said.
