29th round: "Alania" and "Terek" dropped out of the "Premier League" © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, the penultimate matches of the Russian championship were played, after which several important things became clear - as we have already announced, after a year's break, the "CSKA" club regained the champions title. In addition, we already know the teams that will leave the "Premier" league - the league's old-timer "Alania" and the newcomer "Terek", whose places will be taken by the first division teams Vladivostok's "Luch-Primorje" and Nalchik's "Spartak". Meanwhile, the winner of the second ticket to the Champions League will be determined only in the last round.

The round was started by Moscow's "Spartak" and Ramenskoye's "Saturn" footballers. The first half was played evenly, with the initiative shifting between "Spartak" and "Saturn." However, at the beginning of the second half, "Spartak" took the initiative and with 15 minutes left to play, J.Titov scored the winning goal, allowing A.Starkov's team to continue fighting for the silver medals.

Also in Moscow, "Moskva" played against Yaroslavl's "Shinnik". The hosts started the match actively and broke ahead in the 11th minute, scoring a second goal after seventeen minutes. It seemed that "Shinnik" would be defeated, but two goals from Alexander Shirko equalized the score, which no longer satisfied the team from "Moskva." In the 70th minute, a penalty kick was awarded to "Shinnik," which was successfully converted. "Moskva" secured a 3-2 victory and rose to fifth place.

In Kazan, the local "Rubin" team faced Moscow's "Torpedo". "Torpedo" was simply defeated by a margin of 5-1. This victory allowed the "Rubin" team to secure fourth place, guaranteeing a spot in next season's UEFA Cup.

In Perm, St. Petersburg's "Zenit" suffered a minimal loss to "Amkar". "Zenit," which was considered one of the main contenders for prize-winning positions before the start of the championship, can now hope at best to take fifth place, which does not meet the ambitions of the St. Petersburg club.

In Rostov, the local "Rostov" team met Samara's "Krylya Sovetov". The first goal was scored by the "Krylya Sovetov" players. Marco Topic made an effort to score - spinning around, he fell but managed to send the ball into the goal. However, the "Rostov" players did not give up, and after two minutes, the most accurate player of the team, Maksim Buznikin, equalized the score, and in the middle of the second half, "Rostov" scored a second, winning goal. With a score of 2-1, they defeated the former main contender to leave the "Premier" league, "Rostov," now to stay in it for another year.

The match that determined the champion was held in Moscow. Two Moscow clubs - "Dinamo" and "CSKA" - faced each other. In this match, the "CSKA" players secured a 2-1 victory.

The "Alania" team from Vladikavkaz, which until this round had theoretical chances of staying in the elite division, faced Tomsk's "Tom." The Vladikavkaz players took action immediately and in the 24th minute scored a penalty kick. However, it was not enough, as "Tom" equalized the score with the help of an 11-meter penalty and scored the winning goal at the very end of the match. With a score of 1-2, the "Tom" team celebrated victory.

In the last round match, Grozny's "Terek" faced Moscow's "Lokomotiv". These matches meant nothing to the "Terek" club, but a victory for "Lokomotiv" would have allowed them to fight for second place in the championship. In an interesting match with many dangerous moments, the "Lokomotiv" players won 0-3, setting up a battle for the second place in the championship in the last round against their direct rival, "Spartak".
