32nd round: Goal drought in France © EuroFootball.com

Over the weekend, eight matches of the 32nd round of the highest French football division "Ligue 1" were played, six of which ended in goalless draws.

Recently struggling yet still fighting for European spots, the "Lens" club lost another two points. This time they met with the league's outsider "Nantes" and failed to beat them - the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The "Toulouse" team, showing excellent form, took advantage of "Lens'" stumble, defeating "Auxerre" 2-0 and securing the second place in the standings. "Toulouse" took the lead in the 6th minute when Achille Emana scored, and Fode Mansare doubled the lead after half an hour. This victory not only allowed the Toulouse team to maintain the second position but also prevented the "Lyon" club from securing the "Ligue 1" champions title in this round.

In the same scoreline, the "Lille" club also won on Saturday, strengthening their hopes to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season by defeating "Sochaux" at home. The goals for the winners were scored by Nicolas Fauvergue in the 50th and Kevin Mirallas in the 66th minute.

Paris's "P.S.G" club continues to dangerously balance near the relegation zone. In this round, the Parisians ended their match against last season's vice-champion "Bordeaux" team in a goalless draw and currently occupy the 16th place in the league, barely three points ahead of the relegation zone team "Troyes".
