However, the intrigue remains in the battle for fourth place and avoiding relegation to a lower league.
"Palermo", playing a draw with "Milan" on Friday and helping the "Juventus" club secure the championship title, secured fifth place thanks to the "Brescia" team, which won at home against "Messina" and kept their hopes of staying in the championship alive.
It was a missed opportunity for "Udinese" to solidify their fourth position, as they played a draw with "Cagliari" and gained a slight advantage over the "Sampdoria" team, who suffered a defeat at home against "Inter".
The newly crowned champion "Juventus" celebrated a victory away from home with a draw against "Livorno", which ended 2-2, and the match between "Reggina" and "Lecce" also ended in a draw. "Roma" rose to the top of the league table and secured their stay in the league with a minimal victory against the underdog team "Atalanta", who will have to play in the "Serie B" championship next year.
"Fiorentina" found themselves in a difficult situation, occupying the penultimate place after a draw with "Lazio", while "Siena" ended their goalless match against "Parma" with just one point more. "Chievo" won a crucial victory, defeating the "Bologna" club at home with a one-goal margin and overtaking them in the league table.
In the final round, the clubs "Lazio", "Lecce", and "Reggina" still cannot feel completely safe in terms of survival, as the main battle should take place among six clubs: "Chievo", "Bologna", "Brescia", "Parma", "Siena" and "Fiorentina" - two of these teams are most likely to join the "Atalanta" team on their way down to "Serie B".
