This summer, moving from Rome's "Lazio" to Milan's "Inter", Antonio Candreva insists that he arrived to fight for titles.
The winger was linked with the "Napoli" club, which finished second in the "Serie A" championship, but ultimately ended up with "nerazzurri", who finished fourth in the standings.
"I came to 'Inter' to win. That's what 'Inter' is used to," said Candreva.
"'Inter' was interested in me and I am proud to have moved to this club. The negotiations were long and complex, and at one point I even thought the deal would fall through. I did not reject 'Napoli'. I do not know if there were any talks between the two clubs."
"'Inter' wanted me from the start and I am happy to be here."
"I have reached the right age to aim for success. In recent years, 'Juventus' is the team that no one can beat, but we want to perform better than last season."
"We have many talented players in our squad and together we can achieve a lot."
The 29-year-old footballer played 30 matches in the Italian championships last season, scoring 10 goals and making four assists."
