London's "West Ham" striker Andy Carroll will have to undergo a knee operation, which will keep the footballer out of the lineup until the end of the 2014-15 season.
The Englishman suffered the injury at the end of Wednesday's match against "Southampton." Initially, "Hammers" coach Sam Allardyce hoped that the injury would not be serious.
However, after consulting with specialists today, it was confirmed that the sniper, who arrived from "Liverpool," will have to lie on the operating table.
The rehabilitation period required after such an injury is quite long, so Carroll is likely to return to the field only in August.
The striker, who also spent three months recovering from an injury at the beginning of the season, has scored goals in the "Premier" league.
