Upon arriving in Milan to sign a one-and-a-half year rental agreement, Alessio Cerci revealed that despite supplementing Atletico Madrid in the summer, he wanted to join the fashion capital team.
The winger arrived in Spain in September, but appeared on the field only nine times in three months. The Italian then wanted to return to his homeland, and his native club Atletico welcomed Fernando Torres.
"That's what I wanted in the summer," - said the 27-year-old footballer on Thursday.
"It was important for me to return to Italy, I'm happy. I spoke with Inzaghi and the move to Milan was my dream, albeit a bit late. The Rossoneri is a very good team. I will work with all my might."
Cerci is expected to undergo a medical examination today and sign the contract. The transfer will officially take place on January 5th, when the transfer window opens in Italy.
