Andreas Christensen is not sure if he will remain in the ranks of London's "Chelsea" after losing his starting player role.
The 22-year-old defender fit perfectly into Antonio Conte's tactics last season and became one of the key players of the Chelsea team. However, with Maurizio Sarri's arrival, the situation changed - now the central defensive pair consists of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger.
"For me, this is a tough season. To be honest, I find it difficult to accept the current situation. I had a really good season last year and had a quite good World Cup this summer.
I can't wait and be as patient as I was before. I am already 22 years old and I really want to play week in, week out. Over the past three seasons, that's exactly what I did, so I can't imagine myself accepting the current situation.
It's too early to talk about changes now, but it's clear that the situation is not good. I don't think it will be easy to get into the starting eleven, especially now when we are showing good results.
"The results of this season are a gift for the team, but personally, this season is turning out to be very difficult for me," the Dane said.
A. Christensen has been a part of the Chelsea club since 2012. He spent two years on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.
