One of the best defenders in English football history, Ashley Cole announced the end of his career.
The 38-year-old left-back, speaking on "Sky Sports," revealed that he will no longer step onto the football field as a professional. His football career lasted 20 years.
His final club was "Derby County." Last winter, he joined Frank Lampard's team as a free agent and managed to play 12 matches.
Cole began his career at London's "Arsenal" club, but after seven years, he moved to "Chelsea" and made his mark on the club's history pages.
Two years later, the defender moved to "Roma," and before returning to England, he represented the Los Angeles "Galaxy" team.
Throughout his professional career, he played over 700 matches for various clubs. He was three-time English champion and won the UEFA Champions League title once.
Ashley Cole made 107 appearances for the England national team.
