Bergwijn, who was recently linked with a departure, was the hero of the match. However, after the game against Leicester, Tottenham's manager Antonio Conte stated that the Dutchman is ready to stay in the team.
"Whenever I was asked about Bergwijn before, I always said that he is extremely important to me. He can play well one-on-one and compete in various positions. Bergwijn is a very important player to me and we want to have him in the team. When Steven is in good form, he can be important both as a starter and coming off the bench. It is very important that the players are happy, and as far as I know, Bergwijn is happy here and ready to stay in the team," Conte told Sky Sports after the match.
