Italy's national team coach Antonio Conte says he doesn't have time to change Mario Balotelli and believes that even the best strategists from Liverpool cannot extract the maximum potential from the forward.
The current specialist did not invite Balotelli, who used to be part of the national team, for the first two times, but he immediately received a call-up to play against Albania and Croatia. However, the 24-year-old player withdrew from the team due to groin and calf injuries.
Balotelli has been heavily criticized this season. The forward, who joined Liverpool from Milan for €20 million, has only scored twice in 14 matches so far.
"I'm not so arrogant to say that I'm different from great coaches. The past shows that even they couldn't change Balotelli," Conte told Rai Sport.
"It's up to the player himself, I don't have much time and I demand specific things."
