The English Football Association (FA) has punished London's Chelsea strategist Antonio Conte for improper behavior during the match against Swansea City.
The Italian was sent to the stands at Stamford Bridge in the 43rd minute due to his outbursts and could no longer lead his team.
He was particularly upset that a corner was not awarded to his team, and he expressed his frustration by shouting at the fourth official, Lee Mason.
"During the match, in the first half, I saw that Swansea were wasting time," Conte said after the match. "I mentioned it to the fourth official several times."
"However, I didn't see any changes in the first half. I was disappointed with the situation. I tried to say it again, but the referee made the decision."
"I repeat - I apologize for it. I was disappointed. I made a mistake. I suffer during the match. I suffer along with my players. I am very sorry for that."
"They were wasting time. I was a bit angry. I said and shouted it. It wasn't the first time. I think the fourth official lost patience because of this reason. However, I repeat, it was my fault, not the fourth official's. I apologize for that. I was disappointed."
In the end, the "aristocrats" still managed to win thanks to the only goal scored by Antonio Rudiger.
Meanwhile, Conte can appeal FA's decision to punish him until December 5th.
