"Napoli" president Aurelio De Laurentiis admits that crossing the barrier of Madrid's "Real" in the UEFA Champions League will not be easy, but he believes that all teams are beatable.
The South Italian club will meet the winners of last season's tournament in the quarterfinals, with the first leg being played on February 15.
The "Royal" club did not suffer any losses in the group stage and currently holds the first place in the "La Liga" championship, but the Napoli team can boast of being the most productive in all of "Serie A."
"We played against 'Barcelona' in the Gamper Cup tournament and in Geneva, but we never met with Madrid's 'Real'," De Laurentiis told beIN Sports.
"No team is unbeatable, the outcome is determined only by certain circumstances. 'Napoli' has grown a lot and is the only Italian team playing in the Champions League for seven consecutive years."
"I must say that 'Napoli' income is about a quarter of Madrid's 'Real', 'Manchester United' or 'Manchester City' incomes."
"All teams must fear their opponents, and 'Napoli' may be even hungrier than Madrid's 'Real'. If Madrid's 'Real' were to lose the title even after beating 'Napoli', it wouldn't be a great tragedy."
"A victory for Napoli would be a heroic achievement, there are matches that are worth more than an entire season. For example, when 'Napoli' wins against 'Juventus' - it's worth more than the entire season."
"If we were able to overcome the barrier of Madrid's 'Real', it would be worth all the years."
"We don't need to have hopes of triumphing in the Champions League, what will lead us forward is enthusiasm and the love of the fans. As a film producer, I can say that dreams are encoded in my DNA."
Maurizio Sarri's proteges are also still fighting for the title of Italian champions and are only a few points behind the leader of "Serie A," "Juventus."
