Two matches of this round ended with equally impressive results. Defending champion Bremen's "Werder" crushed the "Freiburg" club with a score of 0-6 as guests. In another match, the capital's team "Hertha" also trounced "Gladbach" with the same result, without mercy. It is worth noting that after the first half, "Hertha" was only leading 1-0.
