A. Dziuba responds to the message from Ukrainians: I am proud to be Russian © JumpStory

Famous Ukrainian footballers Vitalij Mykolenko and Andriy Yarmolenko turned to their colleagues from Russia on social media, demanding not to remain silent and to condemn the actions of Putin's army and the killing of innocent people. However, former Russian national team captain Artem Dzyuba reacted to this message entirely differently. "I am not a political expert, which I have never been and do not want to be. I am against any war, but at the same time against aggression and hatred among people that flow every day. I am against discrimination based on nationality and I am not ashamed to be Russian. I am proud of it. I do not understand athletes who are suffering now. The war will end, but the relationships between people will remain and they will not be able to be repaired. To those colleagues who sit in their homes in England and say nasty things, I can only mention: they cannot offend us, we understand everything," wrote the Russian.
