With one of the best footballers on the planet wanting to capture the attention of fans from Lithuania, you will have to properly raise the flag.
The fan, wearing Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo jersey, went towards the opponent's star to take a photo, but the security guards immediately rushed to him.
The 25-year-old from Klaipėda was soon escorted out of the stadium, while C. Ronaldo himself was taken to the locker room.
The Lithuanian Football Federation has already confirmed that FIFA will take action and punish the federation itself, but the culprit of the incident will have to compensate for the financial losses.
According to LFF representatives, the young man will face a significant fine ranging from 10 to 20 thousand euros.
"The security guards did not do their job. We will analyze the situation and draw conclusions. For now, we don't know what to expect, but usually it's fines," said Antanas Martusevičius, head of the LFF Marketing and Communication Department. "Practice shows that the amounts are usually high - 10-20 thousand euros."
The same information was confirmed to the 15min news portal by the general secretary Edgaras Stankevičius: "I think it will certainly be more than one or two thousand. My preliminary estimate is that the fine will be around 15-20 thousand euros."
