The "Kauno Žalgiris" club has added its third player this summer. The player is Antonas Fase, who is returning to the club after nearly a year break.
The player, who holds Dutch and Surinamese citizenship and joined the green-and-whites in the summer of 2022, was sold to Lodz's LKS team last summer, and now he returns to Kaunas as a free agent.
Wearing the "Kauno Žalgiris" jersey, A. Fase scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists in the country's top league over 32 matches. He also made a contribution in the LFF Cup match with a goal and an assist, and last summer he scored a fantastic goal against Poznań's "Lech" in the UEFA European Conference League matches.
The 24-year-old forward played seven matches in Poland over six months, during which he recorded one goal and one assist.
Having grown up in the well-known Dutch club Alkmaar AZ's system, the Žalgiris player began his professional career in the second tier league of the country, later moving to the Nijmegen NEC club of the same league, and he first arrived in Kaunas from Bulgaria's top league team Vratsa "Botev".
