A. Ferguson reveals why P. Pogba left "Man United" - agent blamed

Former long-time "Manchester United" manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that in 2012 midfielder Paul Pogba left for Turin's "Juventus" because of agent Mino Raiola's influence.

Since then, the Frenchman has won three "Serie A" titles with the "bianconeri", became the best young player of the 2014 World Cup and one of the most talented midfielders playing in Europe.

At the time Pogba left Manchester, Ferguson blamed him for disrespecting the "Red Devils" club, but now he mentioned that the decisive factor in his move to Italy was the agent.

"There are one or two football agents I simply don't like, and Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba's agent, is one of them," he wrote in his new book Leading.

"I distrusted him from the moment I met him. He became Zlatan Ibrahimović's agent when the player was at Ajax and then he also started representing Pogba, who was just eighteen at the time."

"We had signed a three-year contract with Paul, which included the option to extend it for another season, and we wanted to take advantage of it. However, Raiola suddenly appeared and our first meeting turned into a fiasco."

"He and I were like oil and water. From that moment on, everything became meaningless, as Raiola managed to gain the favor of Paul and his family, so he left for 'Juventus'."
