The scandal resonated in the U-19 national team of the Netherlands. It was officially announced that due to inappropriate behavior, five footballers were removed from the team: Ar'jany Martha, Naci Unuvar, Rio Hillenas (Ajax), Mimeirhelas Benita (Feyenoord), and Xavi Simons (PSG). Benita and Martha became the perpetrators of the incident, as they violated coronavirus rules by bringing a girl into the team's hotel room. The latter athletes got so involved that Simons, Hillenas, and Unuvar, who were playing FIFA21 in the adjacent room, decided to ask their teammates to turn up the music very loudly. Upon learning about these visits, the team's coaching staff immediately took action and sent all players back to their clubs for breaking the bubble rules.
