Liverpool club announced on Tuesday that the 26-year-old midfielder underwent successful surgery on Monday, and today the footballer was discharged from the hospital.
It is not yet clear how long A. Gomes will have to spend away from football, but the club statement says that it is expected that the player will fully recover from this serious injury.
This season, A. Gomes managed to play 9 matches for "Everton" and did not score any goals.
