At the end of May, speaking to journalists, L. Messi praised the Atletico striker and revealed that he wants him on his team, calling him one of the best footballers on the planet.
"He is currently one of the best footballers on the planet. We want the best players in the world to play for us and A. Griezmann is definitely one of them," - said L. Messi at the time.
However, now, as reports of A. Griezmann's decision to stay in Madrid appear in the press, the Argentine national team representative has slightly changed his opinion.
"To win the Champions League, you need great players, and A. Griezmann is one of those players. But I do not know if his acquisition would be a priority for us. It depends on the committee responsible for player transfers and our coach," - when asked about A. Griezmann, L. Messi spoke much more cautiously about him.
