Madrid's "Atletico" forward Antoine Griezmann says he hopes to become a player who regularly scores goals. The Frenchman, who played in the recent match where "Atleti" crushed "Real" 4-0, scored for the twelfth time and became the top scorer of the team in the "La Liga" championship.
The 23-year-old player scored 16 goals last season while playing for "Real Sociedad."
"I hope to become a true sniper. I train a lot in the central attacking position and try to improve in every match," said Griezmann.
The French national team player also expressed his joy at the victory in the derby and said he believes the team will be able to maintain their excellent form.
"Atletico" coach Diego Simeone has recently been giving Griezmann a more central role in the attack. Out of 25 matches where the Frenchman played behind forward Mario Mandzukic, the "mattresses" won 19, and the duo contributed to 23 out of the team's 47 goals.
