Spanish "La Liga" championship on Saturday saw four matches of the 33rd round.
Barcelona's "Espanyol" hosted Madrid's "Atletico" footballers at their stadium. The jubilee 100th goal of Antoine Griezmann in the Spanish championship secured a minimal victory for "Rojiblancos".
The entire match was a tough battle. Not many chances were created, but a superb goal by A. Griezmann in the 73rd minute from a sharp angle brought the visitors a victory from the capital.
"Atletico", after another victory, at least temporarily reduced the gap from the leaders to 7 points. "Espanyol" with 49 points is in ninth position.
In other matches, "Villarreal" beat "Leganes" with a score of 2-1. Cedric Bakambu's brace secured the victory for the "submarines", but the win was not achieved in the most beautiful way.
C. Bakambu put the hosts ahead in the 68th minute, but in the 90th minute "Leganes" equalized. However, in the next attack "Villarreal" managed to score the winning goal, with C. Bakambu once again speaking his word, scoring with his hand.
