A. Johnson found guilty: facing 4 to 10 years in prison

Former Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has been found guilty of sexual misconduct with a fifteen-year-old girl. As a result, he could spend up to 10 years behind bars.

The verdict of the two-week trial for the Englishman was announced today in Bradford court.

The jury deliberated on the case for a total of nine hours. Finally, it was decided that Johnson will have to serve a sentence for touching the teenager in intimate areas.

The footballer was acquitted of a second case of misconduct, but one instance was enough for imprisonment.

The 28-year-old player will now be temporarily detained for two to three weeks - the exact time he will spend in jail will be determined later.

It is reported that the minimum possible sentence is four years of imprisonment.
