On Thursday, the composition of the Lithuanian national team for the start of the UEFA Nations League was announced, with one change confirmed.
It has been officially confirmed that forward Armandas Kučys will join the national team, bringing the total number of players to 25.
The forward, who is currently playing in Slovenia, has been recovering from an injury. However, on Thursday afternoon, he confirmed that he received permission from the doctors and club coaches to join the team and will strengthen the national squad.
On Thursday evening, the Lithuanian shone on the international stage – in the second match of the final stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers, after coming on as a substitute, he scored two goals and helped his team "Celje" defeat Yerevan's "Pyunik" 4:1 at home and advance to the main stage.
The national team will gather for training camp on Monday.
