In the near future, 22-year-old Aymeric Laporte will put an end to speculation regarding the national team he represents.
The central defender, who plays for Athletic Bilbao and has Basque blood, has been included in the list of 23 players for the French national team, who will play against the Netherlands and Bulgaria.
The defender, who has been demonstrating excellent results, has never been called up to the French men's football team. A. Laporte has represented various French national age groups.
As A. Laporte revealed earlier, if he does not receive a call-up from his home country in the near future, he may choose to represent the Spanish national team.
The 22-year-old footballer is expected to make his debut in the match against Bulgaria. As is already known, a player who has played at least one match for the men's national team can no longer represent any other national team.
