The 29-year-old Lithuanian suffered an injury in Turkey, where he was playing friendly matches with the Belarusian team "Lokomotiv" from Vitebsk while at a training camp with the club, which Vilnius residents defeated 3-0. After being examined by doctors at one of the hospitals in Turkey, it was revealed that the Lithuanian had stretched knee ligaments, so he will have to refrain from playing for about a month. This means that the forward will most likely recover by the beginning of the new season in April.
In the past season, the Lithuanian scored 11 goals in the Lithuanian "A League", four of which he scored while representing Klaipėda's "Atlantas".
Today, "Vilnius" will play friendly matches in Turkey with the Russian Premier League club "Shinnik" from Yaroslavl.
