On Thursday, the meeting of the board members of the Lithuanian football A Lyga association took place, during which the new chairman of the board was elected, who will also hold the position of the A Lyga president.
The new chairman became Ivan Nevoina, the president of Vilnius "Riteriai" club, replacing Vidmantas Murauskas, the president of Marijampolė "Sūduva", in the new positions.
V. Murauskas has held the positions of A Lyga board chairman and president since December 2018.
During the meeting, a vote took place - before it, the candidacies of I. Nevoina and Vilma Venslovaitienė, director of Vilnius "Žalgiris", were approved.
4 votes were in favor of I. Nevoina's candidacy, 1 vote was against, and 1 vote abstained.
1 vote was in favor of V. Venslovaitienė's candidacy, 0 votes were against, and 5 votes abstained.
In the near future, changes will be made at the Registry Center, where the new duties of I. Nevoina in the Lithuanian football A Lyga will be confirmed.
