A. Lipskis becomes the new head coach of "Džiugas

In the 2024 season, in the ranks of "Džiugas" team, the former head coach from Portugal Joao Prates is replaced by Andrius Lipskis.

The new head coach Andrius finished his career as a football player in the summer of 2022 and became the assistant head coach of the main team. In the club system, Andrius has been working as the technical director of the academy for many years. As a coach, Andrius faced the biggest challenge of his life, and the club feels that this opportunity had to be given. Especially since the specialist has completed the UEFA A license and is waiting for the opportunity to study for the UEFA PRO license for several years.

A 2+1 year contract will be signed with the coach, giving confidence, space to improvise, and not being afraid to take risks with Lithuanian youth, who will have to prove themselves, not disappoint, and we expect hard work. During the season, as usual, anything can happen, maybe a lot of positive things will happen, perhaps there will be encounters with negativity, results, ambitions, decisions – in the life of a football team, just like on happy hills, but we have no doubt that with the coach, a true Samogitian, solutions will be found for all situations through mutual understanding! We hope that the chosen direction will delight us all.

We wish that this season for Andrius, as a coach, will be energetic and successful, and for the fans enjoyable and pride-inducing.
