A look into Portugal's "Primeira" league: "Benfica" and "Porto" fiercely compete for gold (table)

With 13 rounds left until the end of the season, the portal "Eurofootball.lt" took a look at the tournament situation in the Portuguese "Primeira" league. This season, the championship became even more interesting and bigger, as the Portuguese decided to expand the tournament table from 16 teams to 18. The teams still have to play 13 matches and it is difficult to make bold predictions here. At the top of the table, currently leading with 53 points, is Lisbon's "Benfica", but the "Porto" club is only 4 points behind and promises a serious fight until the end of the season. In third place is Lisbon's "Sporting", who still have hopes of fighting for the gold. The team, with 44 points, finished second in the previous season and it is doubtful whether they are willing to settle for third place this season. At the bottom of the tournament table, there is a real fight for survival. At least seven teams cannot feel safe, but the most worried should be "Penafiel" and "Academica" clubs. The top goal scorer in the championship is "Porto" forward Jackson Martinez, with 16 goals. For the title of top scorer, Ahmed Hassan Koka (11 goals) and Andre Filipe Andre (10 goals) are still expected to compete. Tournament table:
