Bergamo "Atalanta" club and Nigeria national team forward Ademola Lookman has been awarded the 2024 Africa "Ballon d'Or" prize.

He surpassed other African players such as Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi, and Inaki Williams.

This year he won the UEFA Europa League with the "Atalanta" team and is in first place in the Italian "Serie A" league.

Ademola Lookman has scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists in 19 matches this season.

Last year, another Nigerian, Victor Osimhen, was recognized as the best African player of the year.
