A Lyga: "Panevėžys" again left without a victory

For the second time in a row, Alytaus DFK "Dainava" and "Panevėžys" played without scoring in the "TOPsport A lyga". The 11th round match in Alytus ended in a 0:0 draw.

Panevėžys had a great opportunity to take the lead in the 3rd minute. The ball in the penalty area kindly bounced to Jeffrey Sarpong and the goalkeeper sent it over the goal. Later, Ignas Venckauskas' shot was saved by Volodymyr Krynskyy.

In the middle of the first half, Vytautas Černiauskas had work to do - the goalkeeper defended against a penalty kick by former "Panevėžys" player Rokas Stanulevičius. On the other side of the field, V. Krynskis saved the team from Federico Palacios' attack.

After the break, Artiom Bafdalovskis attacked more threateningly, the ball flew past the post. "Panevėžys" had better chances to score a victory from the 76th minute, when Aaron Olugbogi received a direct red card. However, the pressure did not turn into dangerous episodes.

The defending champions are in ninth place with 8 points, while "Dainava" has 13 points at home.
