Alvaro Morata signed a new contract with Juventus today, which is valid until 2020.
The striker's previous contract with the Turin club was valid until 2019, so with the new agreement, the player should stay in the team for another 12 months.
The Spanish national team member was one of the main Juventus players last season and together with the team won the Serie A champions title, playing a total of 46 matches and scoring 15 goals.
This season, Morata is struggling to demonstrate the performance he showed last year, and so far this year, he has scored just one goal in the Italian league and recently lost his place in Massimiliano Allegri's starting lineup.
Morata joined Juventus in 2014 from Real Madrid, with a clause in the transfer agreement allowing the Spanish team to reclaim the player. Whether the new contract with the striker will affect the previous agreement with the Madrid club is currently not reported.
At the moment, the Italian champions are in fifth place in the Serie A standings, and on Sunday they will face the excellent team of Fiorentina.
