In 2017, after playing a great season at Madrid's "Real" team, A. Morata decided to spread his wings to the English "Premier" league. The "Whites" received over 60 million pounds for their substitute striker at that time.
A. Morata started quite successfully in the ranks of the "Blues", but later his performance curve declined and eventually last winter he arrived at "Atletico" on loan.
"I had stopped enjoying football, but now I am happy at "Atletico" club", - said the 27-year-old forward in an interview with "Marca" radio.
"I did not receive much support at Chelsea, but then I stopped believing in myself. In England, for example, if I didn't take advantage of a good opportunity to score, my teammates started to look at me and as if telling me everything I do is wrong.
Being 20-22 years old, I was mature enough, but I never reached a limit like at Chelsea. I told my wife that in January we will run as far away from Chelsea as possible, because I can no longer cope with such pressure.
I had six or seven good offers, Chelsea also wanted me to stay, but then "Atletico" approached me and I decided to do what I wanted for several summers (to come to "Atletico" - ed.)", said A. Morata.
This season, the striker has scored 7 goals in 12 matches.
