Alvaro Morata, giving an interview to the Italian media, admitted that he would never have left the "Juventus" team in Turin.
Let's remind that the 25-year-old striker returned to Madrid in the summer of 2016 after two years in Turin. "Real" sold the striker to the Italian club in 2014, but included in the contract the possibility of buying him back for 30 million euros.
This "white" team did so, but despite the very successful performance of the Spanish player in his childhood team, the player decided to move to London "Chelsea" last summer. The reason for all of this was a backup role.
"I did not intend to leave Juventus, but I had to return to Madrid because that was the clause in my contract that I had to respect," revealed A. Morata.
"But I felt a great disappointment, as I had to return to a starting position. In Madrid, they treated me like a child who had returned from Juventus," said A. Morata, who had transferred from the "Real" youth academy.
The Spanish national team striker also revealed that he had been thinking about moving to Chelsea since last spring: "In the spring, I started talking to Antonio Conte. I wanted to work with him, because I knew he could make me a better footballer."
Despite disappointments in previous years, A. Morata played the most productive season of his career in Madrid - scoring 20 goals in 43 matches.
