39-year-old Andrea Pirlo announced at the end of last year that he is retiring from professional football. Yesterday, a farewell match was held in honor of A. Pirlo, which was attended by a group of Italian friends who have also become legends. Among them were Gianluigi Buffon, Frank Lampard, Francesco Totti, Clarence Seedorf, Paolo Maldini, Roberto Baggio, Gennaro Gattuso, and others. Pirlo said: "I thank my friends and all the spectators who came to the stadium. It was a great event." When asked about his future plans, the Italian did not rule out the possibility of coaching: "I have some time to think about it. I can't say that I miss the field very much. There are plenty of opportunities in the future for me to coach something." A. Pirlo left his deepest mark during his illustrious career at the "Milan" and Turin's "Juventus" clubs.
