A proposal to clean toilets for a veteran of the German national team

In 1990, German Andreas Brehme scored the decisive penalty kick against the Argentinian national team's goal and gifted Germany the title of world champions. After 24 years, he faces the prospect of cleaning toilets.

The Italian media reported that the former German football star is facing huge financial problems. A.Brehme has gone bankrupt and owes 250 thousand euros.

In the near future, the former footballer is expected to lose his shelter. Former German team members Franz Beckenbauer and Olivier Straube extend a helping hand.

"We need to take responsibility and pull Andreas out of this hole. He has given a lot to German football, and the country has awarded him world championship trophies. Germans should now repay him by helping him," said F. Beckenbauer.

O. Straube plans to provide a slightly different kind of assistance - employing him in a toilet cleaning company.

"We want to bring Andreas into our company. Then he will understand what it means to work a real job and live a real life. This will help him regain his reputation. In my opinion, this is assistance," said O. Straube.
