Arsene Wenger confirmed that Arsenal's midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta will miss the upcoming Premier League match against Chelsea. The players suffered injuries in the North London derby which ended in a 1-1 draw. In addition, tests will be carried out on Jack Wilshere as well.
The constantly injured Arsenal players are now posing a huge problem for the coach, as the entire trio of midfielders sustained injuries on Saturday.
"I don't know how long they will be out. I think Ramsey couldn't continue the match due to a calf injury, and Arteta has ankle problems. Wilshere twisted his ankle," said Wenger.
"I'm not sure about Jack, but the other two definitely won't play against Chelsea."
This trio will join the already injured Mathieu Debuchy, Olivier Giroud, and Theo Walcott.
"Suddenly we don't have any choice, as we lost three players today, as well as two with long-term injuries. Adding Walcott, that makes six. Also, Diaby is not ready to step on the field," added the Frenchman.
Arsenal's manager also said that his players played well against Tottenham and their opponents should be happy with the point they took. Wenger is pleased with the undefeated streak, but when talking about injuries, he criticized the rough behavior of the opposing defense.
