World vice-champion Ante Rebić, a player of the Croatian national football team, at one time paid off all the debts of the residents of his native village of Imotski, according to kroatųvijesti.hr.
"He was born in a small village near the city of Split and never forgot his roots, even when he left at the age of nineteen to play for Italy's Fiorentina. He once paid off the debts of all 500 residents of Imotski village for the services provided," - said Lovro Šindikas, who played in the youth team alongside A. Rebić. It is said that the debts amounted to about 15,000 euros.
