On Sunday, 12 matches of the first stage of the German Cup were played.
Unexpectedly, the team of "Eintracht" struggled in the first stage, facing tough resistance from the third division team "Mannheim", but managed to secure a victory with a score of 5:3.
The hosts started the match powerfully and already in the 3rd minute were ahead after a goal by Valmir Sulimani. Just 8 minutes later, the same V. Sulimani doubled the lead for "Mannheim".
Such a start woke up the players of "Eintracht" and in the 21st minute Daichi Kamada scored to reduce the lead for "Mannheim", while in the 45th minute Filip Kostic restored the balance in the match.
"Mannheim" once again took the lead in the 72nd minute, with Hendrik Marx scoring a goal.
However, at the end of the match, the visitors proved their advantage. In the 76th minute, Ante Rebic equalized the score, who then took "Eintracht" ahead in the 81st minute, and sealed his "hat-trick" and the team's victory in the 88th minute.
