Arjen Robben disagrees with the opinion that, at his age, players should make way for younger players in top caliber clubs. According to the Dutchman, there are only two types of footballers - good or bad.
The 34-year-old A. Robben may be playing his last season at Bayern Munich. Most Bayern fans agree that the club will have to bid farewell to Franck Ribery and A. Robben after this season, as they cannot come to terms with a substitute role.
Robben's own physical form is not very promising either - he scored only seven goals last season, and this season he has scored against opponents' goalkeepers only three times in 10 matches.
"Being 34 doesn't mean you are old. We believe that in football there are no old players - only good or bad ones," the winger told the "Kicker" magazine.
When asked about his first season with Niko Kovac, who faced serious problems before the international break, A. Robben didn't rush to criticize the coach:
"He is ambitious and has a winner's mentality. He is doing everything so that we can play good and beautiful football again. To be honest, we don't need to change much."
