FC Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben eagerly awaits the return UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match in Madrid and states that the team cannot afford to waste opportunities.
The first leg at Allianz Arena ended unsuccessfully for the hosts - Cristiano Ronaldo's brace in the second half secured a 2-1 victory for the "Whites." In the first half, the Bavarians were far more threatening than their opponents, but the "Whites" showed character and have the advantage in the return leg.
Robben insists that Bayern cannot make the same mistakes they did in Munich and must capitalize on every opportunity.
"We must score a goal as soon as we create the chance on Tuesday evening," said Robben firmly. "We cannot play worse than we did in the first half in Munich. We are prepared for these matches and want to show our game in Madrid."
Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels traveled to Madrid, but it is not clear if they will feature on the field. However, the Dutchman remains undeterred and believes they can win with the players they have.
"It does not matter who will be on the field - we have a great team. We trust each other, and that is the most important thing," concluded the Bayern veteran.
In their last match at Santiago Bernabeu, FC Bayern lost to Real Madrid. In the first leg of the 2013-14 season semi-finals, the "Whites" defeated the visitors by a narrow margin.
