On Friday, the 17th round of the German "Bundesliga" championship began, with one match played.
The last match of the year was played by the players of Munich's "Bayern" and "Mainz". The latter tested the nerves of the Bavarians in front of their fans, but at the end of the match, Josep Guardiola's pupils secured a victory with a score of 1-2.
Two goals were scored during the 90 minutes, both in the first half. The first team to score was the "Mainz" players, with Pablo De Blasis taking advantage of a mistake by the opponents and making a successful pass to Elkin Soto, who scored a goal past Manuel Neuer.
However, in the 24th minute, the score was equalized when Bastian Schweinsteiger scored a great penalty. Neither team created many chances for the rest of the match, but in the 90th minute Arjen Robben scored the winning goal.
After another victory, "Bayern" added three points to their account and gained a 14-point lead over their closest pursuers.
