London's Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez was hoping for a small miracle until the last second. The 28-year-old Chilean had been eager to leave the Gunners and had long agreed on a £300,000 weekly salary with the Man City team. However, yesterday, before the transfer window closed, negotiations between the clubs ended abruptly and the unmotivated athlete will have to continue sweating in the English capital. Sources from the "Goal" portal reported that A. Sanchez no longer wants to play for Arsenal because he feels that the Gunners can no longer compete at the highest level and therefore lacks motivation. Though, perhaps the striker will have better luck in January, as Man City intends to make another offer, although the amount will be lower than the £60 million offered yesterday.
